Hey, I’m Naomi - the founder of Genesis Creative.
My journey into design started long before Genesis had a name. From sixth form, I was drawn to two things: creative writing and design. I’ve always been fascinated by how ideas, stories and visuals shape the way people understand something.
During university, I launched my first business - an e-commerce brand designing prints for the home. It was creative and trend-led, but over time something shifted. Designing to follow trends no longer felt fulfilling. I wanted to create work with more purpose - design that helped people build something meaningful.
In 2022 I opened a retail space combining the e-commerce brand with design services. It was a bold step, but just a year later something completely unexpected happened — a car crashed through the front of the shop.
What followed was a period of uncertainty and reflection. As that chapter came to an end, a new direction began to emerge.
In January 2024, Genesis Creative was born.
The word Genesis means "new beginnings," and it marked a turning point both personally and professionally. It represents what we now help our clients achieve - clarity at the start of something new, confidence when the path feels uncertain, and momentum when growth feels fragile.
Because building something meaningful takes resilience. It requires belief before proof, and the courage to keep moving forward when things don’t go to plan. That experience shaped how I see branding today.
